NMS Football 2015

NMS football will start Wednesday, August 19th, 2015. Any student planning on playing will need to have a sports physical before August 19th. Parents may pick up a sports packet in the NMS office starting on Monday, August 3rd.

NMS Registration for 7th Grade, 8th Grade and New Students

7th grade registration will be held at the NMS office on August 12th, 2015, starting at 8:00 AM. Students and parents are encouraged to attend and pick up registration packets and student schedules.

NMS 6th Grade Orienation

There will be 6th grade orientation on August 11th, 2015 at 9:00 AM. Orientation will be held in the NUSD Multipurpose Room (cafeteria). All 6th graders and parents are encouraged to attend!

College Fair

The Needles Unified School District AVID Program will be having their first annual NUSD College Fair. The fair will be held on Thursday, April 29 and 30, 2015, form 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Needles High School gym. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

True Spirit

Needles Middle School students Tyler Weiss and Paige Murch are this year’s “True Spirit” winners. The award is part of the Partners in Education program. Middle school principals are asked to select one male and one female student who have shown true spirit in the classroom, citizenship, athletics or other extracurricular activities. The pair, along with their parents and family, were invited to watch the California State University San Bernardino Coyotes play basketball Feb. 14. All winners were recognized during halftime.

FOR Club shows Appreciation to Needles Fire, Ambulance, CHP, and Sheriff Station

Thanks to the support of friends, family, and the community, the Needles Middle School Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club recently finished their first fundraiser. The main purpose of the FOR Club is to create a culture of kindness and compassion within the school and extend that culture throughout our community. Using some of the profits from the fundraiser, the club members chose to purchase, bake, and deliver cookies to the Needles Ambulance Service, the Needles Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol, and the Sheriff's Station. Along with the cookies, the FOR club members delivered cards expressing appreciation for the incredible service that they provide for our community.
